Plaited wire mesh is made on plaiting machines and can be subdivided into three types of plaiting, corrugated plaiting, surbased vault plaiting, and corrugated plaiting with a single wave. |

The mesh is generally larger and the wire is thicker than woven wire mesh . The mesh-size can vary from 8 to 200 mm and the wire diameters from 1.5 to 10 mm. Within these measurements, we can plait almost any required square or rectangular mesh .

Corrugated Plaiting |
| |
|
| |
The weft wire crosses the warp wire under and over alternately. Both wires are multi-corrugated beforehand.

Surbased Vault Plaiting |
| |

Made according to the same principle as corrugated plaiting. The wires are pre-corrugated in one direction, so there is one flat side.

Corrugated plaiting, single wave |
| |
|
| |
This is also manufactured according to the same principal as corrugated plaiting, but the threads are singularly pre-waved. This makes it look like woven wire mesh. The thread is harder; consequently the plaiting is stronger and not as easily warped as woven wire mesh.
